The mountain friends of Hong Kong each have their own unique characteristics, with fascinating and distinctive shapes that have won the hearts of many! However, as more people visit, their actions have started to upset the mountain friends, leading to complaints... On the other hand, people gradually notice that the mountain friends are changing. Can mountains and people continue to be good friends?
What Happened to Our Mountain Friends? is the first children's picture book published by The Green Earth and also Hong Kong’s first children's book that explains the "Seven Principles of Leave No Trace" through real-life examples. Featuring Hong Kong’s mountains as the main characters, the story highlights the challenges they face and inspires children to reflect on proper etiquette when exploring nature!

Original Theme Song - "Leave No Trace"
To make learning more enjoyable for children, we teamed up with 阿飄, 蘇詠思校長, and a group of young singers to create the theme song Leave No Trace! Kids, let's sing along together!
In collaboration with the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha Tin), this program will offer free school story-telling workshops for local kindergartens and primary schools. Led by "Nature Picture Book Ambassadors", children will engage in activities through picture book reading and interactive games. They will get to know Hong Kong’s mountain friends, cultivate a love for nature, and learn the correct Leave No Trace principles.
Public and school libraries, as well as non-profit organisations promoting outdoor and environmental education, are welcome to register for a free copy.
