The Green Earth welcomes the public consultation on the 2026 Policy Address and Hong Kong’s first five-year plan. We submit the following evidence-based recommendations on how Hong Kong can fully capitalise on the green development priorities of the national 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030) and corresponding international trends.
近日中國內地有人瘋搶水銀探熱針，原因是來年1月起，全國將淘汰水銀探熱針等含汞產品。有人稱懷念「揈」水銀探熱針的爽快手感，也以為水銀探熱針較準確。情懷歸情懷，有毒的水銀產品最好及早淘汰。果斷防汞不僅履行了國際公約的義務，更是保護人民健康的德政。
在香港這個國際都會，啟德郵輪碼頭作為亞洲重要的郵輪樞紐，本應引領綠色航運潮流，卻因缺乏岸電（Onshore Power Supply）基建，而令停靠的郵輪繼續燃燒燃料發電，維持船上運作。這不僅落後於時代，郵輪噴出的廢氣更直接加劇空氣污染，長此下去，我們擔心除了會影響市民健康，更會損害碼頭的旅遊形象。
As the government is currently consulting the public for the 2025 Policy Address, The Green Earth would like to submit our recommendations addressing the pressing environmental issues and promoting sustainable development in our city for your kind consideration.
